Help Center & FAQ

Find answers to the most common questions about careers, streams, and higher education.

Which stream should I choose after 10th if I'm confused?
If you are completely undecided, Science (PCM or PCB) keeps the maximum number of doors open for the future, including engineering, medicine, and many commerce/arts fields. However, if you strongly dislike math or science, we highly recommend taking our Career Assessment Test to find a stream aligned with your natural aptitude and interests.
Can I switch from Commerce or Arts to Science after 12th?
Generally, no. In the Indian education system, you cannot transition to a core Science degree (like B.Tech or MBBS) if you haven't studied PCM/PCB in your 11th and 12th grades. However, Science students can freely transition into Commerce or Arts programs.
What are the most in-demand careers for the next 10 years?
The fastest-growing sectors globally are driven by technology and sustainability. Highly demanded roles include Artificial Intelligence Engineers, Data Scientists, Renewable Energy Consultants, and Healthcare Professionals. Check out our Emerging Careers Hub for a detailed list.
How do I compare two completely different career options?
We built a dedicated Career Comparison Tool exactly for this purpose. It allows you to place two careers side-by-side and compare their average salaries, stress levels, required skills, and expected growth rates.
Do I need to be a topper to get a good job?
Absolutely not. While academic scores matter for initial college admissions and certain campus placements, the modern job market heavily prioritizes practical skills, portfolios, and internships. Developing a strong skill set in your niche is far more valuable long-term than just academic marks.
Is coding necessary for all tech jobs?
No, not all tech jobs require programming. Roles like UI/UX Design, Product Management, Tech Sales, and Data Analysis (using tools like Tableau or Excel) are highly lucrative and focus more on problem-solving, design, and communication rather than writing code.
How important are internships during my degree?
Internships are extremely critical. They bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical industry application. Having 1-2 solid internships before graduation significantly increases your chances of securing a high-paying full-time role.
Should I pursue a Master's degree immediately after my Bachelor's?
It depends on your career goals. If you want to specialize in a highly technical field (like AI research), an immediate Master's is beneficial. However, for most roles, gaining 1-2 years of industry experience first will help you make a more informed decision about your specialization.
Will Artificial Intelligence replace software engineers?
AI is a tool that enhances productivity rather than entirely replacing engineers. While AI can automate repetitive coding tasks, the industry will always need skilled professionals to design architectures, solve complex business logic, and maintain security. Those who learn to use AI tools will replace those who don't.
How do I start building a portfolio?
Start by working on small, real-world projects. If you're a developer, contribute to open-source or build a simple web app. If you're a designer, create concept designs or redesign existing apps. Host your work on platforms like GitHub, Behance, or a personal website to showcase it to employers.
