FAQs for Parents
Answers to the most common worries.
What if my child doesn't know what they want to do?
That is perfectly normal. The teenage brain is still developing. Do not pressure them to "lock in" a 40-year decision. Encourage them to choose a broad field (like basic sciences or liberal arts) that keeps doors open, and let them explore electives.
How much does Career Mosaic cost?
Basic career exploration and the side-by-side comparison tools are free. Premium personalized counseling and deep-dive psychometric reports may have a fee. Check our Pricing page for details.
My child wants to be a YouTuber. How do I handle this?
Don't dismiss it. "YouTuber" requires highly marketable skills: Video Editing, Scriptwriting, Analytics, SEO, and Public Speaking. Tell them: "Great, let's treat it professionally." Have them learn these concrete skills. If YouTube doesn't work out, they can become a Digital Marketer or Content Strategist.
Is Engineering still a safe bet?
Yes, but only if they adapt. A generic mechanical engineering degree is less valuable today than it was 20 years ago. However, an engineer who also learns Data Analytics, Python, or AI applications will be highly sought after.
