Career planning shouldn't be a stressful one-time conversation in Class 12. Use these static worksheets and activity frameworks to make exploration a fun, weekly family habit.
1. The "One Career a Week" Challenge
Every Sunday evening, pick one completely random career from Career Mosaic that neither you nor your child know anything about.
Discussion Prompts:
- What does this person actually do all day?
- Does this job seem boring or exciting? Why?
- Would you ever want to do this?
2. Watch & Discuss (Media Night)
Replace one Netflix show a week with a short, inspiring video about a profession or the future of technology.
Suggestions:
- Watch a TED Talk on Artificial Intelligence.
- Find a "Day in the Life of a..." YouTube video.
- Watch a documentary about space exploration or climate tech.
3. The Shared Assessment Challenge
Have your child take the Career Mosaic Interest Assessment. Before they show you the results, guess what their top 3 interests are on a piece of paper.
The Reveal:
- Did your guesses match their actual results?
- If not, why? What side of themselves do they see that you might not?
- This builds incredible trust and communication.
